Make Your Own Tshirt Graphic!

Make Your Own Tshirt Graphic!

Alright bestie, today we’re resurrecting that tee from the depths of the unworn pile and giving it a whole new life! This tutorial is so easy, trust me. If I can do it, you can do it!

You will need:
-A camera
-Computer
-Tshirt
-Heat transfer paper
-Scissors
-Baking paper
-Clothes iron or heat press

I started by taking photos on my Lola camera, aiming for a vintage, retro feel, and focused on some treasured objects around my home. I captured things like my guitar, my fave candy, a VHS from when I was a kid, an I <3 NY mug from a recent trip... Before I knew it, I’d built a little collection of items that tell a story about who I am!

Next, I used the Lola SD Adapter, to upload the photos to my computer. I removed the backgrounds (optional, since you’ll be cutting them out anyway) and printed them onto heat transfer paper and cut out all the objects.

Then I peeled off the backing, and arranged the pieces on my T-shirt in a layout that felt visually pleasing. This part was superrrr satisfying!

After that, I placed baking paper over the design and pressed a hot iron on top for about 60 seconds. Keep in mind that different fabrics can react differently to the heat transfer paper, so you might need to experiment a bit. But it’s pretty intuitive—if your graphic isn’t sticking, just apply heat for a little longer.

And that’s it! A T-shirt that was once forgotten in the back of my wardrobe is now a piece that feels like a true expression of me.

Hope this inspired you to bring some new life to old things! If you make your own tee, please share it with us! We are soooo passionate about building a warm and creative community <3
